HFC-245fa is a volatile liquid with zero ozone depletion potential (OPD), nonflammable, and low thermal conductivity, and is used as a blowing agent for rigid urethane foam. Currently, as part of the global effort to address global warming issues, we are converting from HFC-245fa, which has a high global warming potential (GWP), to HFO-1233zd(E). HFC-245fa has excellent thermal stability and can evaporate from low-temperature heat sources below 100°C. Therefore, it is also used as a working medium for binary power generation systems such as geothermal power generation.
