- Sustainability
Central Glass has received a climate change rating of B from CDP—a one-tier upward move from last year’s rating. CDP is an international nonprofit organization that assesses the environmental initiatives of companies and governments.
Created in the UK in 2000, CDP works with over 700 investors holding assets valued at over US$142 trillion. It surveys companies and local governments on areas such as business strategies, greenhouse gas emissions, and water consumption and wastewater management. Respondents are scored on an eight-tier scale from A to D– in accordance with the CDP scoring criteria. The 2024 questionnaire gathered data from more than 24,800 companies representing two-thirds of the global corporate market cap.
The Central Glass Group has been working on a long-term goal of attaining carbon neutrality by reducing greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050. The Group’s improved rating in the 2024 CDP questionnaire reflects enhanced data disclosure and an upward revision to the Group’s greenhouse gas emission reduction target.
We will continue to respond to the environmental needs of various stakeholders in a consistent and transparent manner while working to reduce environmental impact.
